YEREVAN. – AIR Armenia airline company’s plane, which is carrying humanitarian aid to the Armenian community of Syria, has landed in Turkey and in accordance with prior agreement, the airline company informed Armenian News-NEWS.am

Pursuant to the agreement with the Turkish side, if the airline company wishes for its aircraft to pass through Turkish airspace, its plane must land in a Turkish airport where its cargo will undergo inspection. AIR Armenia has given its consent to this procedure, and therefore the aircraft’s landing in Turkey was in its flight plan from the very beginning.    

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, the Armenian aircraft, which was en route to Aleppo from Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, had landed in Turkey’s Erzurum city airport on October 15, and once more in accordance with prior agreement.
