A new scandal has erupted in Turkey, as it was found out that the Armenian Genocide issue likewise is included in the history curriculum of Ankara’s French school, where Turkish children receive education.
This became apparent when Turkey’s Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) MP Ozcan Yeniceri submitted, at the country’s parliament, a written question addressed to the Ministry of National Education, Star daily of Turkey writes.
It was noted that the “Armenian Genocide” section of the history textbook of Ankara’s Charles de Gaulle French High School informs that the Young Turk government had decided to eradicate the Armenians and the 20th century had begun with the massacring of close to one million Armenians.
In his written question, the aforesaid Turkish nationalist MP asked National Education Minister Omer Dincer as to who had approved this textbook and whether the minister is aware of all this.
