YEREVAN. – Even though the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) members had said that PAP Chairman will announce between December 1 and Wednesday about his position on the forthcoming presidential elections, it became officially apparent that the PAP leader will be in Brussels from Tuesday to Thursday, Zhoghovurd daily reports.  

“Tsarukyan’s spokesperson said Tsarukyan will not make any statement [with respect to the elections] from Brussels. And, in all likelihood, no substantial matter will be discussed in Brussels, nor will many questions be answered for PAP.   

Tsarukyan made conflicting promises to [incumbent President Serzh] Sargsyan, [second President Robert] Kocharyan, and [opposition bloc Armenian National Congress leader and First President Levon] Ter-Petrosyan alike [in connection with the elections]. The supporters of the three presidents likewise do not know as to specifically with whom the PAP leader was frank. And that is why everyone is silent while Tsarukyan continues to play,” Zhoghovurd writes.
