YEREVAN. – Opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) will submit to the Constitutional Court, either on Wednesday or Thursday, the petition with the signatures as regards to the calling off of the special National Assembly (NA) session, ANC MP Gagik Jhangiryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

He informed that thirty-four MPs took part in the signature campaign to petition to the Court. “ANC, [opposition] Heritage [Party], and [Prosperous Armenia Party] PAP MPs have joined [the signature campaign] and the signatures could increase,” Jhangiryan said adding that what happened at the NA was unconstitutional and they need to file a complaint.    

To note, the NA special session, which ANC had initiated on November 21, was not convened since quorum was not obtained.
