YEREVAN. – The Armenian National Assembly on Thursday rejected opposition bloc Armenian National Congress NA Faction’s bill on prohibiting the operation of monopolies in the country. A total of 36 MPs voted for, but 61 deputies cast their ballots against this law proposal.  

The parliament, however, passed—on first reading—the bill on Making Amendments and Additions to Armenia’s Code on Administrative Offenses, and approved—on second reading and in full—the draft law on Making Amendments and Additions to Armenia’s Law on Lotteries and Gaming Halls.
