YEREVAN.- The European Union is interested in Armenia’s stable development, head of EU delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea said at the event dedicated to the Human Rights Day.

He said the EU stands ready to assist Armenia’s development with the help of dialogue and other instruments. In her turn, UN Resident Coordinator a.i. Henriette Ahrens stressed that every person has rights but if he does not protect them and is not aware, the rights remain ink on paper.

During the ceremony, participants of the youth short film contest on “Human Rights in Digital Age” were awarded. The contest is held on the initiative of UN in Armenia, Austria and Ukraine. The awarding ceremony was followed by a discussion.
