It’s Armenian First President’s turn to make decision – newspaper

YEREVAN. – Will opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) leader, and First President, Levon Ter-Petrosyan run for president in the 2013 elections? Haykakan Zhamanak daily asks this adding that, since Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan will not run for president, now this will be the most asked question.  

“Those at the ANC Central Office did not have the answer to [this] question as of yesterday [Wednesday]. Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s spokesperson Arman Musinyan told our reporter that discussions are underway now at the political board of the Congress and the answer will be heard at the end of these discussions. ‘A statement will be made after summing up the discussions of the ANC Political Board,’ Musinyan said.    

In fact, Ter-Petrosyan’s nomination [for the elections] was the main issue of the political board session. Also, it is difficult to say whether or not ANC will likewise delay its statement,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
