The Chairman of the Public Council for Foreign and Security Policy of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Masis Mayilyan in an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am commented the issue of the OSCE Irish Presidency in connection with the settlement of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani conflict.

“I have to say that the central mediating roles are assigned to co-chair countries of OSCE Minsk Group. Alternately, chairs of the OSCE States are guided by the ‘do no harm’ principle,” Mayilyan said.

Chairman of the Public Council recalled that in 2012, the official Dublin did not set ambitious goals and tried to help resolve conflicts as much as possible. In particular, there was an interesting conference held in Dublin City University with the participation of experts from all the conflicting post-Soviet countries.

“It is expected that Ukraine, using its advantages will help the conflicting parties and the mediators in the dialogue and the implementation of confidence-building measures,” Masis Mayilyan added.
