Seventeenth congress of the opposition Armenian National Movement (ANM) party kicked off Saturday morning.
Representatives from the parliamentary opposition and alternative political forces are invited to the event. First President, and opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) leader, Levon Ter-Petrosyan is on hand at the convention. Representatives from the opposition Heritage and ARF Dashnaktsutyun Parties are in attendance, too. But there is no one, at present, from the Prosperous Armenia Party.
To note, even though the formal nominations for next February’s presidential elections can be submitted as of December 25, neither ANM nor ANC have yet decided on the format of their participation in this voting.
