YEREVAN.- Armenia’s Armed Forces performed all the tasks given at a high level in 2012, spokesperson for Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan told reporters.

Hovhannisian stressed Armenian armed forces’ achievements in increasing combat readiness are serving as a deterrent for the opponent. He recalled that during the year Armenia held several major exercises, unprecedented in scale, scenario and involved weapons, including the CSTO drills.  

Armenia hosted the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force drills from 15 to 19 September. The exercises  practiced the use means of collective security in the Caucasus region.
