YEREVAN. – The American national currency continues to depreciate at Armenia’s financial market, and this is due to the pre-New Year economic liveliness.
The dollar’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 403.25/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Monday; this is a 0.17-percent—or an AMD 0.79—drop from the previous trading session on December 21.
Monday’s sales totaled $6.26 million at the stock exchange.
The US dollar is sold at AMD 405/$1, at the cash foreign currency market of Armenia, and it is primarily bough at AMD 402/$1, seldom at AMD 403/$1.
