YEREVAN. – Fifteen Santa Clauses and eight Snow Maidens have received the right to “work” on the streets of Armenian capital city Yerevan, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports referring to Yerevan Municipality Information and Public Relations Department. 

“A total of thirty-five applications were received for taking part in the [respective] contest [announced] by the Municipality. [And] Since the start of the [New Year] festivities is given on December 20, the winning Santa Clauses and Snow Maidens had the opportunity to get to work on that very day.    

To note, the Municipality had announced a contest for Santa Clauses and Snow Maidens. [And] The requirements were the external appearance, tone of the voice, the costume, [and] the theme to be presented to kids,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
