YEREVAN. – Opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) leader, and First President, Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s decision to not run for president in February’s elections should be acknowledged, instead of making uproars and intrigues, Prosperous Armenia Party National Assembly Faction Secretary Naira Zohrabyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
She stressed that Ter-Petrosyan presented his motives as to why he finds it inexpedient to run in the elections. Zohrabyan added that the ANC leader’s decision was not a surprise for her because her own analyses had shown that the First President will not run.
To note, Levon Ter-Petrosyan announced Tuesday that he will not run for the Office of the President of Armenia in the elections to be held on February 18, 2013.
