YEREVAN.- The bilateral partnership between Denmark and Armenia has several directions, Denmark’s honorary consul Armand Pinarbasi told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He pointed out promotion of cultural partnership, business-trade partnership and consular partnership.

Asked about the volume of trade turnover, he said the consulate does not yet possess any official trade data on 2012, but in 2011 Armenia was Denmark’s s 131st largest export market, with Denmark exports amounting to DKK 35 million, accounting for 0,01% of total Danish goods exports. Imports from Armenia to Denmark, in 2011, were insignificant.

Pinarbasi noted that some steps have been taken towards promoting of business links between both countries since the establishment of the Armenian Embassy in Denmark.

“The main objective is to raise general awareness in business communities, since there is a certain gap of knowledge about the potential of trade. For that reasons many business-to-business Institutions are to be involved and the diplomatic institutions will work for the more effective development of bilateral relations,” Pinarbasi said.
