YEREVAN. – The American national currency’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 403.08/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Friday; this is a 0.17-percent—or an AMD 0.68—drop from the previous trading session on Thursday. 

Friday’s foreign currency sales totaled $23.8 million at the stock exchange, and this is a record amount. The Central Bank might have intervened in the exchange rate.   

The buying and selling exchange rates of the US national currency are at the AMD 402-408/$1 range, respectively, at the cash foreign currency market of Armenia.
