YEREVAN. – The main trend for Armenia in past year was the European integration, expert Sergey Minasyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to him, equally important are mutual relations for military-political integration within the CSTO.

“As for the Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] settlement, neither the ‘Safarov Case’ nor the incidents on the Armenian-Azerbaijani line of the contact last June could lead to long escalation. This comes to certify that we deal with a fixed status-quo,” the expert said.

At the same time he claimed that no need to expect any important progress in the Karabakh peace process this year.
