Nineteen people, who had taken a cough medicine, died, and ten others were hospitalized in Pakistan.   

The incident occurred in the city of Gujranwala. All the victims had bought the cheap medical drug from local pharmacies. The examination of this medication revealed that toxic chemicals were added into its elements, Gazeta.ru reports referring to Xinhua. The victims had purchased this medicine to receive the effect of a drug, RIA Novosti News Agency of Russia informs.

A similar incident had occurred last month in the city of Lahore, where around twenty people had lost their lives as a result of taking the same medication. Three businessmen, who owned the pharmacies that sold this unsafe drug, were arrested.
