The health condition of Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez, who had respiratory complications after yet another oncological surgery in Cuba, has stabilized.  

Chávez’s health condition is “stabilizing.” He is already walking in his hospital room and carrying out medical exercises, Rossiyskaya Gazeta daily reports quoting Venezuela’s Communication and Information Minister Ernesto Villegas.  

To note, Chávez underwent four surgeries in the past 1.5 years in Havana, and the last one was on December 11. Separately, his searing-in ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, but it was informed earlier that if Hugo Chávez is unable to attend this event, he will be sworn in at a later date at the Venezuelan Supreme Court.
