MOSCOW. – Four Armenians have lost their lives as a result of a traffic accident in Russia. In line with the data which Armenia’s Embassy in Moscow has verified, five citizens of Armenia were in the VAZ 2110-model car that was involved in the crash.  

Davit Mkrtchyan (born in 1977), Ashkhen Arevshatyan (born in 1991), Susanna Arevshatyan (born in 1958), and Mayis Arevshatyan (born in 1954) died on the spot, whereas passenger Liana Arevshatyan (born in 1978) sustained fractures and was hospitalized.    

To note, a Hyundai Accent and the aforesaid VAZ 2110 collided in Russia’s Perm-Yekaterinburg Highway on January 6, and solely the metal pieces from both vehicles were left after crash. The accident took five lives, four of which—two men and two women—were in VAZ 2110. The Hyundai Accent’s 57-year-old driver likewise died.

According to the data by the Perm Krai (federal subject) Road Police, the Hyundai’s driver was responsible for the collision. He tried to overtake a large truck but crashed into the VAZ 2110 that was coming from the opposite direction.      

As a result, the Hyundai went under the wheels of the truck and the latter ran over car.
