YEREVAN. – Citizens of Armenia have worked for 35.3 hours per week in 2011, National Statistical Service of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to the Labor Code of Armenia, the average working time should not overpass 40 hours, while the maximum is 48 hours per week.

The average working time for men made 39.4 hours, while for women 30.9 hours. However, while the working time for married women made 29.4 hours, single women worked for 39.1 hours. At the same time, married men worked more as compared to singles, 39.8 and 35.3 hours respectively.

Average working time for hired employees made 44.1, while for employers it made 55.7 hours. As for self-employed people, they worked 21.7 hours per week.
