In January - November 2012, Armenia received $ 55.9 million of humanitarian aid. As Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed at the press service of the National Statistical Service, in comparison with the same period in 2010, the humanitarian aid has been reduced by about $2.5 million or 2.9%.

Humanitarian aid is mainly reduced on medications: compared to $22.4 million from last year, for 11 months of 2012, medication of $ 16.5 million was received. Instead the number of vehicles provided as aid has increased almost twice - $12.1 million, compared with $6.4 million in 2011. This growth is mainly due to buses, imported from China.

The humanitarian aid from the United States has been sharply decreased: in 2012, $12.4 million was received compared to $ 21.1 million in the same period of the previous year. In 2012, the European Union has sent to Armenia about $12 million of aid, an increase compared to the previous year by 13.4%.
