YEREVAN.- Opinion polls show 73 percent of voters are ready to endorse Serzh Sargsyan during the upcoming presidential elections.

Head of Sociometer center Aharon Adibekyan said the poll was conducted among 1,420 people in Yerevan and the regions after all main candidates have made their decision to participate in the presidential race.

Only 52 percent of respondents show interest in the elections, 61 percent of them has already decided to participate in the vote, while 28 percent has decided on the candidate.

The poll shows 73 percent of pollees will vote for Serzh Sargsyan, 20 percent – for Raffi Hovannisian. Other candidates have little chance to win, Adibekyan said.

Registration of the candidates will be over on January 14. The elections are scheduled for February 18.
