YEREVAN.- The United Liberal National Party (MIAK) will back Serzh Sargsyan during the presidential race.

The party issued a statement explaining its decision. Analyzing five-year developments, the party pointed out the progress reached in Armenia-EU relations, resisting global crisis, strengthening of Armenia’s positions on Karabakh issues, certain foreign policy achievements.

However, the party admitted the problems still exist, expressing hope that Serzh Sargsyan would be able to tackle them during the next five-year term in office.

Armenia will hold presidential elections on February 18, 2013.
