MOSCOW. – State Duma of the Russian Federation (RF) on Friday will examine the protocol of the Armenian and RF governmental agreement on lifting the double taxation of income and property.
The objective of signing this agreement is the desire to develop cooperation between the two countries and to prevent tax discrimination, the attached documents read, RIA Novosti News Agency of Russia reports.
According to Dmitry Sablin, Deputy Chairman of the Russian parliament’s CIS Affairs Committee, this agreement seeks to raise the effectiveness of tax control and to reduce misuse during payment of taxes. He stressed that Armenia is Russia’s important strategic partner in South Caucasus and one of its reliable partners in the ex-USSR expanse.
“The Russian Federation is undertaking precise measures to expand the Armenian-Russian financial and economic cooperation,” Sablin concluded.
