The Armenian army was able to prove that it is capable of performing all its tasks, Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Minister, Defense Army Commander, Lieutenant General Movses Hakobyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

In response to the query as to what Army Day means for him, Hakobyan stated that it is a day of pride for him and the whole Armenian nation.  

“The Armenian army fulfills its mission with honor and great responsibility, both during the years of war and afterward,” he noted, and added that this day symbolizes the road that is passed and foretells the future.    

To note, Armenia marks on Monday, January 28, 2013, Army Day and 21st anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Armed Forces. High-ranking military officers from NKR and the Armenian diaspora have arrived in the country to attend the anniversary celebrations.
