YEREVAN. – Armenia’s presidential candidate, opposition Freedom Party Chairman, former PM Hrant Bagratyan evaluates the ongoing election campaign as normal. Bagratyan himself stated this during a press conference on Monday.

Along the lines of the campaign, Bagratyan already visited two cities and six villages, he will head to Gyumri city on Tuesday, he will hold several talks with the intellectuals, and a rally is planned, too.

“No other candidate has any right to talk about the other candidates,” he added, and stressed that he speaks solely about the ruling Republican Party candidate, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan because he is the sole governmental candidate.

Bagratyan stated that he is displeased with Sargsyan’s campaign because, as per the former PM, there is an election program but no quality; there is nothing concrete. In addition, Bagratyan informed that he jokingly “curses” his friends that are living abroad by saying: “May Serzh Sargsyan write the development program of your country.”

Also, the presidential contender warned the other candidates not to speak about him. Otherwise, it will be bad for them.

Hrant Bagratyan informed that he has reservations with respect to the presidential election surveys that are being conducted in Armenia.

“As if, they have resolved the matter of the first place [in the vote], now, they are resolving the matter of the second place,” he stated.
