MOSCOW. – Russian Federation (RF) Minister of Defense, Army General Sergey Shoygu on Monday kicked off his tours, during which he will pay official visits to Armenia and Kazakhstan, Shoygu’s Press Secretary Daria Zatulina informed.   

“Within the framework of his visit to Armenia, on [Monday,] January 28-[and Tuesday, January] 29, Shoygu is scheduled to meet with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan,” Zatulina stated. She added that the current state of bilateral military and militaro-technical cooperation and its prospects are planned to be discussed during these meetings.   

While in Armenia, Sergey Shoygu will also visit the RF Armed Forces’ 102nd Military Base, which is stationed in City of Gyumri, on Tuesday.
