YEREVAN.- Armenia’s border is firm first of thanks to the cities and villages located along the frontier, President Serzh Sargsyan said.

On Tuesday presidential candidate Sargsyan met with the residentc of Berd town of Tavush Region, Armenia.

“The name of Berd [translated as fortress into Armenian –ed.] speaks volumes. Starting from the border of Berd, each of us is a fortress. It is a big task inspiring huge respect. The border is firm and strong thanks to you, our army, soldiers and officers – the people,” he said, addressing Berd residents.

People’s safety is the main task, therefore Armenia will continue improve effectiveness of its army, President noted.
