YEREVAN. – The past long weekend’s trends at the cash foreign currency market of Armenia have reflected Tuesday on the country’s stock exchange rates, too.
The American national currency’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 408/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Tuesday; this is a 0.17-percent—or an AMD 0.68—drop from the previous trading session on January 25.
The dollar’s exchange rate on January 27 and 28, when the stock exchange saw no trading and the US currency weakened at the cash market, clearly affected the dollar’s losing value.
Tuesday’s sales totaled approximately $1.3 million at the stock exchange.
At the cash foreign currency market of Armenia, the US currency’s buying and selling exchange rates fluctuate between the AMD 405-409/$1 range respectively.
