YEREVAN. – Following the march, which was held in Armenia’s capital city on Wednesday, May 1, a rally was staged devoted to International Workers’ Day.
The Communist Party of Armenia (CPA) leaders delivered remarks during the event and noted that Armenia needs to be returned to the socialist path of development. They especially stressed the necessity to invigorate the fight for the violated rights of the workers.
During the rally, the congratulatory message, which was sent by the President of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, was read, in which it was noted that, “a new union of brotherly peoples will be created.”
First Secretary Ruben Tovmasyan of CPA Central Committee considered it indispensable to engage in the struggle for integration, in the post-Soviet expanse, within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC).
Also, the Armenian communists harshly condemned the Western policy toward Syria.
