YEREVAN. – The supporters of former presidential candidate, leader of Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian gathered in Liberty Square on Wednesday (photos).

Secretary of the Heriatge party board Stepan Safaryan thanked few participants who joined them in the square.

Safaryan called on the participants and all residents of Yerevan to vote for “Barev, Yerevan” bloc during the elections for the Yerevan Council of Elders.

“We must decide whether we want to love in a city belonging to a group of oligarchs or a city belonging to us. The May 6 election is a milestone of New Armenia,” Safaryan said, recalling that there are no oligarchs among the members of “Barev, Yerevan” bloc.

Six political parties and one bloc have submitted formal applications to run in the Yerevan Council elections. The vote is slated for May 5, and the participating political forces will vie for 65 Council seats.
