YEREVAN. – The American national currency’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 414.52/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Thursday.

The aforesaid exchange rate is a 0.65-percent, or an AMD 2.68, rise from the previous trading session on Tuesday.

Thursday’s sales totaled $2 million at the stock exchange. The dollar enjoyed a demand exchange rate of even AMD 415/$1 at the end of the trading session, but there was no corresponding offer. Therefore, it is more likely that the dollar will gain value on Friday, too.    

At the cash foreign currency market of Armenia, the US dollar’s buying exchange rate rose all the way to AMD 414/$1 at some exchange offices, and it is primarily sold at either AMD 416/$1 or AMD 417/$1.
