STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan signed several decrees to hand in awards on the occasions of Victory Day, the Day of the NKR Defense Army and the 21st anniversary of the Liberation of Shushi.

Five servicemen were awarded Medals for Courage. Another 224 people, 10 of them posthumously, were awarded the Medal “For Service in Battle”.

For personal bravery shown during the battles for the liberation of Shushi 26 people, three of them posthumously, were awarded the Medal “For Liberation of Shushi”.

On the same day President Sahakyan signed an order on handing in gifts to a group of Great Patriotic and Artsakh war veterans, Defence Army servicemen, relatives of perished freedom-fighters and missing in action soldiers.
