YEREVAN. – Deputy Chairman of Heritage party Armen Martirosyan is happy to fell journalists’ concern over the meetings held by his party and “Barev, Yerevan” bloc.

The meetings held by “Barev, Yerevan” bloc had never been attended by crowds, he said during the Friday press conference.

Armen Martirosyan is heading the proportional list of the bloc running in the Yerevan municipal elections.  Few gathered for Heritage party’s previously announced rally at Liberty Square on Friday. During the event the rally was announced as “meeting of ‘Barev, Yerevan’ bloc with the residents of the downtown Yerevan”.

Speaking about the number of participants, Martirosyan stressed the bloc involves neither businessmen, nor oligarchs who could pay for the presence of people.

“People are coming to our meetings willingly. However, no matter how many people came to the square, Heritage party gets the votes. It is wrong to see a direct link between the number of people at the rally and the number of people giving their votes,” he emphasized.
