YEREVAN. – Armenia’s acting Emergency Situations Minister Armen Yeritsyan, who is the coalition government’s junior partner, Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party’s (RLP), capital city Yerevan mayoral candidate, cast his ballot at 10am in Sunday’s Yerevan Council elections.

Yeritsyan came to his election precinct together with his wife.

Responding to the news reporters’ questions after having voted, the mayoral candidate noted that, “Yerevan will become beautiful and the Yerevan residents will be proud of their city.”

He also stated that the elections will be held in normal fashion.

“We, together with the Yerevan residents, can make sure that the international organizations may see once more and be certain that Yerevan can hold elections that comply with international standards,” Armen Yeritsyan noted.
