The activists placed banners near the parliament entrance, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports. Some banners say they will refuse to pay taxes if the gas price is increased.

Participants of the spontaneous action noted that representatives of several NGOs gathered near the parliament.

The action is being held simultaneously with the parliamentary discussion on gas price which is closed to public.

Minutes ago head of the parliament’s staff Gurgen Dumanyan met with protestors who demanded participation in the ongoing discussion in parliament. Dumanyan promised to convey their request to the parliament speaker.

Later Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan permitted civil society and media representatives to participate in the debate.
