YEREVAN. – The lawyers in Armenia will go on a strike on June 10 and 11, attorney Hayk Alumyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He noted that the initiating group comprises over fifty attorneys, who have spread this announcement to their colleagues on Friday. They do not know how many other attorneys will join them, but if no one else joins them, they will go ahead with this strike at any rate.
Alumyan recalled that they had gone on a strike last year, too, pointing to several problems that were not resolved over the course of the past one year, and had warned that they will declare a strike again if these problems are not resolved.
In the lawyer’s words, nothing has changed so far with respect to the problems they have raised.
The matter refers to the working “lottery” rules in terms of filing a complaint with the Court of Appeals, when chances of whether or not a complaint will be accepted are unpredictable, and an explanation for the respective is not provided.
