YEREVAN. – The United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Saif Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, on Friday presented his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
The President congratulated and wished success to UAE’s new ambassador to Armenia, whose diplomatic residence is in Tehran, the President’s Press Office informs.
Serzh Sargsyan and Saif Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi discussed bilateral relations and the avenues for deepening cooperation. The interlocutors stressed that the friendship between the Armenian and the Arab peoples and the warm relations between the leaders of both countries have created a solid basis for active political discourse.
Armenia’s President and UAE’s ambassador underscored the upcoming session of the Armenia-UAE Intergovernmental Commission, and the discussion of matters of mutual interest.
They also reflected on the importance of enhancing diplomatic contacts.
