YEREVAN. – American currency transactions were not conducted at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Friday.

The dollar was demanded at an unexpectedly high exchange rate of AMD 416/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia, but its offer exchange rate was about AMD 417/$1.

In the past two days, the American currency was losing value at the stock exchange, and it was valued at AMD 414.56/$1 on Thursday.  

The dollar is gaining value at the cash foreign currency market of Armenia, too. The American national currency’s buying exchange rate rose all the way to AMD 415.5/$1 and its selling exchange rate, to AMD 417-418/$1.
