YEREVAN. – The Armenian Emergency Medical Assistance Service Company received 590 calls—instead of the  530 calls on regular days—from capital city Yerevan on Friday, the day of the “Last Bell” which heralds the end of the school year in Armenia.  

Company Director Taguhi Stepanyan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

She noted that they did not receive any calls and there have been no serious incidents in connection with “Last Bell.” 

Upon the Mayor’s order, the Emergency Medical Assistance Service was on duty at Yerevan’s Liberty Square, where a huge festive concert was organized for the school graduates. In Stepanyan’s words, no incidents were recorded during this event, either.  

She informed that now they are receiving less number of calls with respect to acute-respiratory infections and, instead—and due to the current weather conditions—, calls have increased concerning fluctuations in blood pressure and cardio-vascular illnesses.
