YEREVAN. – Officers from Armenia’s Police detained two Iranian citizens at Meghri border checkpoint, on May 25 at 6:00am.

Along the lines of the Nelegal 2013 complex preventive measures, the police officers, who were on duty at the customs checkpoint together with the Russian Federation border guards, detained Peyman E., 22, and Mehrdat Y., 23, the Police press service informs.    

The two citizens of Iran were wanted by the capital city Yerevan Police ever since May 20, and on charges of committing theft. 

They are placed under arrest.
