YEREVAN. – The first and last salvation of Armenia is a quick change in power.
Gurgen Yeghiazaryan, a former member of the Social-Democratic Hnchakyan Party, noted the abovementioned during a press conference on Wednesday. He also suggested collecting money and giving it to the officials, so they leave the country.
Yeghiazaryan stressed that the pressure on Armenia, and with respect to the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, has increased.
“Now, they say: ‘Boys, there are no elections [any longer]; now, give us our due.’ We have lost our positions in the European Union, Russia, [and] the US,” he said.
He also expressed a view that a referendum on the status of Karabakh will be conducted this fall.
“In fall, I also believe that the President will ‘sacrifice’ [PM] Tigran Sargsyan, [and] send [him]. And if this referendum does not materialize, there will be the other referendum to pass to a parliamentary system [of governance],” Gurgen Yeghiazaryan noted.
He also stressed that decent elections need to be conducted to be able to get out of this situation in Armenia.
