YEREVAN. – A suspect in assassination attempt worked for companies owned by leader of Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan.

The 28-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday after he fired from a rifle, injuring a young man and a teen. Both were hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

Spokesperson for Prosperous Armenia leader, Iveta Tonoyan confirmed the report for Armenian News-NEWS.am. She said Gagik H. was working for Cleopatra LLC and Multi Group concern’s Yerevan chemical-pharmaceutical factory where Gagik Tsarukyan has shares.

However, spokesperson said the case has no relation to the professional activity of the suspect, adding that one must not try to misuse the name of Gagik Tsarukyan.
