YEREVAN. – The annual session of the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund Board of Trustees was convened Thursday at the Armenian Government Building, and President Serzh Sargsyan chaired the event.
Sargsyan welcomed the participants, and stressed that the session will be strictly business, the President’s Press Office informs.
In his welcoming remarks, the President noted that the past one year in Armenia was hectic, and the three recent elections in the country enabled to raise, discuss, and search for solutions to the existing problems.
“I believe the coming years need to be years for hard and effective work. I believe we have all the necessary foundations for recording serious results, and the absence of elections in the coming years will serve as a very good opportunity for less talk and more action.
“The [Armenian] diaspora problems still exist, but the situation of Syria and the Syrian Armenians remains an open wound for us all. We assist and will assist our Syrian-Armenian sisters and brothers.
“No pan-Armenian organization reflects the aspirations and capacity of the Armenians of the world, and the Armenia-Artsakh [i.e., Karabakh]-Diaspora trinity, as much as the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund. So, we have a lot to do,” President Serzh Sargsyan stated, in particular.
To note, the fund’s Board of Trustees session adopted the matter of the target of the Marathon 2013 of the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund; this matter was presented by Nagorno-Karabakh President Bako Sahakyan.
