YEREVAN. – The leader of Orinats Yerkir party Arthur Baghdasaryan does not think that the recent Yerevan municipal elections were rigged, he said during a press conference on Thursday.

“I said earlier that several factors - funding, resources and image – are required for the elections. We did not have sufficient resources to win the vote. We collected as much as we had to. And we need to be better prepared in the future,” he said.

The leader of Orinats Yerkir recalled that only a year ago the party won more votes. At the same time, Baghdasaryan is not inclined to give a dramatic turn to the results.

“There are defeats in the elections. We recognize the mistakes and shortcomings, it is necessary to analyze the gaps, to work better, to invest more resources to have an equal competition,” he concluded.
