YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Diaspora Minister, Hranush Hakobyan, on Friday received Lebanon’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Jean Makaron.   

Hakobyan stressed that Armenia’s Diaspora Ministry actively collaborates with the ambassadors of all densely-Armenian-populated countries, Ministry press service informs.  

“The Armenian community of Lebanon is one of the largest [Diaspora-Armenian] communities, and we are happy that good conditions are created in Lebanon for the Armenians,” the minister noted.  

In his turn, Ambassador Makaron noted that he expects an active cultural and scientific cooperation between the two countries. He added that direct flights will be launched soon between Armenia’s and Lebanon’s capital cities, Yerevan and Beirut, and this will further contribute to the development of relations between both countries.
