The discussants examined the degree of diaspora residents’ engagement in the politics and economy of their countries, their right to vote in their homelands, and the improvement of relevant legislation.
Along the lines of the conference, Hakobyan also held talks with officials from several countries, the Diaspora Ministry press service informs.
Subsequently, the minister was on hand at an animated exhibition.
Following the conference, Hranush Hakobyan traveled to Marseille, where she will attend an evening reception organized by the Armenian General Benevolent Union. To note, Armenia-based painters’ exhibition-sale, which is devoted to the housing of Syrian Armenians in Armenia, likewise will open during this event.
