The NGOs of Ukraine welcome the submission—to the Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council; i.e., the Parliament) of Ukraine—of the bill to recognize the Armenian Genocide.
Analitika.at.ua received the texts of the letters which the NGOs have sent to the country’s president, parliament speaker, and MPs.
The “Narodna Rada” NGO, which brings together more than 4,500 organizations in Ukraine, petitioned to the country’s president, Rada leader and MPs, and asked them to assist in the passing of this bill.
A day earlier, the “Civil Union” international NGO made a similar call to the President of Ukraine.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, a bill on the Armenian Genocide’s recognition was registered on June 6 in the Verkhovna Rada. Arsen Avakov, Vilen Shatvoryan, and Nver Mkhitaryan are the persons behind this law proposal.
