YEREVAN. – Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian will leave for Odessa on June 21 to participate in the ministerial meeting of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).

During the meeting, Armenia will assume chairmanship of the Organization.

The participants will exchange views on ways to increase effectiveness of the organization aimed at further strengthening of regional cooperation, intensification of the activities of the member states to develop the most prospective infrastructure projects.

The sides will consider results of the meetings of transport and economy ministries and sum up the activities of the working groups during Ukraine’s chairmanship.  

Armenia will officially assume the Chairmanship as of 1 July 2013, for a period of six months until 31 December 2013. 

BSEC is an intergovernmental organization involving 12 states: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
