Well-known Ukrainian composer, producer and social activist Alexander Yegorov supports the submission—to the Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council; i.e., the Parliament) of Ukraine—of the bill to recognize the Armenian Genocide, Yegorov himself told Analitika.at.ua.

“A mass crime, which caused so much pain to an entire people, does not become outdated over time. I support the Armenians and hope that historical justice will be restored. Even though official Ankara still opposes what is apparent, numerous countries, by recognizing the fact of the genocide, form an international public opinion, which sooner or later will result in the adoption of the only right decision on this matter. I am confident that this is only a matter of time,” Yegorov stressed.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, a bill on the Armenian Genocide’s recognition was registered on June 6 in the Verkhovna Rada. Ukrainian parliament members Arsen Avakov and Vilen Shatvoryan are the persons behind this law proposal
